We finally launched BF’s website.  My first “completed” project as a “real” writer.  I was on the phone with Scott, web designer and tech magician, when he hit the button and said “you’re on.” I felt like I had just dropped my kid off at kindergarten. I was so excited I celebrated with Chardonnay at lunchtime! I invite you to take a peek: http://greenwoodcounseling.net/

Up and running, it is now my job to update writing and maintain relevance of the website.  Fun.  And I love the writing process that BF and I have developed for his blog.  He paces and looks out the window and dictates sentences while I type as fast as I can, which is not that fast.  Or sometimes I perch on a stool in the Taj MaGarage, jotting in a note pad, while he tinkers and generates ideas.  Then I create and he edits for content.  Then I edit some more.  Our goal is to roll out a new post each week.  Or maybe every other week.  We’ll see.

The designer who is working on my business cards is ready with drafts for me to proof.  Exciting.  Writer business cards.

I have an initial draft of a short piece I’m submitting.  Progress.

My book . . . I plod.

Forward steps.  And all the while, as I work at my new career, I feel like I’m on vacation.  Oddly, for the first time ever, when I have the freedom to go at will, I feel no push or panic to schedule a trip.  It’s like I have finally captured Vacation Karma at home.  And I work here!  Weird.

The Universe is guiding me on an incredible adventure: my Plan B. I write here to share bits of my Odyssey, hopefully to inspire, encourage, or extend the virtual hand of friendship.

When I quit teaching in 2014, I could never have imagined the growth I would experience through travel, writing, reading, therapy, and introspection.

I believe human connection and compassion will go a long way toward our healing, and the best way to connect and feel compassion for one another is through the sharing of our stories.

Thank you for joining me here. I appreciate you and may we grow together.
