I’m opening this new blog because I’m addicted . . . to blogging, that is. In September of 2008 I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Following the advice of a teacher friend, I opened a blog on CaringBridge. During that six-month journey, there were many days that writing was the only light in my day. My treatments are over and I’m in the rest and rebuilding phase of my healing, but I don’t want to give up blogging, so here I am. Healthy Blogger.

When I quit teaching in 2014, I could never have imagined the growth I would experience through travel, writing, reading, therapy, and introspection.
I believe human connection and compassion will go a long way toward our healing, and the best way to connect and feel compassion for one another is through the sharing of our stories.
